4/28 – regained the TV Title from Dusty Rhodes
7/6 Great American Bash – lost the TV Title and the services of Baby Doll for a month to Dusty Rhodes in a Steel Cage Match
7/21 – won the U.S. Title from Magnum TA
11/28 Starrcade – lost the US Title to Magnum TA in a Steel Cage I Quit Match

1986
3/4 - won the National Championship from Dusty Rhodes
4/19 Crockett Cup - The Fantastics beat Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard
Summer Great American Bash Tour – beat Ronnie Garvin 6-5 in a series of Taped Fist Matches for the National Title
8/28 – lost the National Title to Wahoo McDaniel
11/27 Starrcade – beat Dusty Rhodes in a First Blood Match to win the TV Title
