Brand split

Definition: In 2002, the WWE split the company into 2 brands, Raw & SmackDown!. While on TV the companies appear to be different and feuding with each other, they are both owned by the WWE and have the same people booking their events.
Examples:
The brand split refers to the division of the WWE roster into two different wrestling brands.
