Torrie Wilson Biography

Victoria Anne Wilson was born on July 24, 1975 in Boise, Idaho. As a teenager trying to become a model in the fashion industry, she developed an eating disorder that lasted several years. When she recovered from that, she decided to focus on fitness modeling. She became a successful fitness model and her picture appeared in many muscle magazines. She even won a Ms. Galaxy competition in St. Petersburg, Florida.

In 1998, Torrie Wilson was backstage at a WCW house show and caught the attention of Scott Steiner who requested that she accompany her to the ring. A few months later, booker Kevin Nash remembered her and decided to hire her as Samantha. As Samantha, she wooed David Flair and caused him to turn on his dad, the legendary Ric Flair. That character didn't last long, but Torrie would make her return shortly.

She returned to the ring in the fall of '99 under her real name of Torrie Wilson. She managed a group called the Filthy Animals. One of the members of this group was Billy Kidman. When that group broke up, she managed Billy as part of the New Blood. That faction eventually broke up and she started to manage Shane Douglas. In December 2000, she was released from her contract with World Championship Wrestling. A few months later, the company was acquired by Vince McMahon.

Torrie Wilson entered the WWE in 2001. Her most famous storyline occurred a year later when her real-life father, Al Wilson, started showing up at events. He fell in love with WWE Diva Dawn Marie and the two married on TV. Things went bad during the honeymoon and Al passed away from a heart attack due to the non-stop love making Dawn forced him to do. At the funeral, Torrie and her step-mom started fighting with each other.

In the spring of 2003, Torrie Wilson appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine. Former Playboy cover girl Sable returned to the WWE and the two started feuding with each other. Eventually the two became friends and appeared in a Playboy pictorial together in 2004. A few months later their feud restarted but ended when Sable left the company. Since then, Torrie has been on both the RAW and SmackDown rosters and has managed many wrestlers. At one time, she used to bring her poodle, Chloe, to the ring with her.

In 2003, Torrie married Billy Kidman. Unfortunately, Torrie filed for divorce in 2006. In 2007, Torrie lauched a clothing line and opened a clothing store with former WWE wrestler Nick Mitchell (Mitch of the Spirit Squad) called Jaded. In 2008, Torrie Wilson was released from her WWE contract and shortly afterwards underwent back surgery. In 2009, she appeared on the NBC reality TV show, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and finished in second place.
