By Eric Cohen, About.com

King of the Mountain Qualifier: Sting vs Scott Steiner w/Gail Kim – When Sting goes for the Stinger Splash, Steiner pulls the ref in front of him. Jeff Jarrett runs to the ring and delivers the stroke. Referee Slick Johnson enters the ring and makes a 2 count. Sting hits an inverted DDT but Jarret beats up the second ref. Sting rolls up Steiner for a pinfall attempt and Hebner wakes up. As he is making the count, Jarrett enters the ring to break it up. The ref disqualifies Steiner. Steiner and Jarrett double team Sting until the all of the combatants in the King of the Mountain match storm the ring (Ron Killings, Abyss, and Christian Cage). After the melee, Steiner refuses to leave ringside and says that he will hold the show hostage. The show goes to break with the announcement that Samoa Joe is in action next. Winner: Sting by DQ

Samoa Joe vs Jason Raynce – Scott Steiner is still in the ring and warns Rance not to enter the ring. Samoa Joe enters the ring for the match and the two men stare at each other before start to brawl. Security comes out to break up the brawl between Steiner and Samoa Joe. Winner: Match never took place

- Kevin Nash and Alex Shelley are on Shelley cam discussing Kevin’s 3 part plan to beat Chris Sabin. Last week was about getting the match, this week is about scouting Sabin, and next week Nash wants to fight a Sabin style wrestler.

- Jeremy Borash interviews Larry in the back about making a match between Samoa Joe and Scott Steiner. Slick Johnson comes out and informs Larry Zbysko that the new face of TNA will make a decision about a potential Samoa Joe vs Scott Steiner match at Slammiversary.

Sonjay Dutt vs Jerrelle Clarke – Konan comes out and does commentary for the match. The men never discuss the match and spend the time talking about Mexican immigration policy and how the X Division is a rip off of Lucha Libre. As far as the match goes, Clarke missed the 630 off the top rope. Clarke then hit the shooting star for the pin. Winner: Sonjay Dutt

- Kevin Nash and Alex Shelley are seen entering the ring.

- Team 3D cut a promo from the ECW Arena.

Chris Sabin and The James Gang vs Team Canada (Young/Roode/A1) w/Scott D’Amore - During the match, Kevin Nash and Alex Shelley appear rising on a scissor lift in the back of the arena. Their appearance is a distraction to Sabin who loses control of the match for his team as the show went to commercial break. After being beaten up for several minutes, Sabin made the hot tag to Kip James. When Kip has the advantage, Bobby Roode tries to use the hockey stick but Rhino comes out from the back to stop him. A few moments later, Sabin hit a guillotine leg drop off the top rope and pinned A1. Winners: The James Gang and Chris Sabin

- Christy Hemme delivers an envelope to Don West. The envelope announces that the new face of TNA management has made a match between Samoa Joe and Scott Steiner for Slammiversary.

    - The scheduled match between Samoa Joe and Jason Raynce never took place
