The show starts off with Christian Cage cutting a promo. He announces that next month is Slammiversary which means that he will have to defend the NWA World title in a King of the Mountain match. Monty Brown, Rhino, Ron Killings, Raven, Abyss, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, and Sting make it known that they all want to be in that match. Larry Zbysko appears on the video screen and announces that he only needs 4 of the 8 men and that they have to win a match to qualify.
World X Cup Final: Team USA’s Chris Sabin vs Team Canada’s Petey Williams – The winner of this match will win the World X Cup for their country. Due to the importance of this match both Team USA and Team Canada have been barred from the iMPACT! zone. This really good X Division style match ended when Sabin caught Williams coming off the top ropes and delivered the cradle shock to get the win. Chris Sabin had no time to celebrate this win because Kevin Nash came out and destroyed both Chris Sabin and the World X Cup trophy. Team USA (Sonjay Dutt/Jay Lethal/Alex Shelley/Jerry Lynn) came out to save Sabin. After Nash leaves the ring, Team USA member Alex Shelley decided to leave the arena with Nash. Winner: Chris Sabin
- Scott Steiner comes to ringside and terrorizes the announcers to find out about his qualifying match and said that he wanted Sting. Samoa Joe came out for his match and had a stare down with Steiner.
Non-title Match: X Division Champ Samoa Joe vs Chase Stevens – Samoa Joe destroys Stevens and wins with the rear naked choke hold. After the match, he continues to beat on Stevens until his tag team partner Andy Douglas makes the save. Shane Douglas is at the top of the ramp looking at the actions of Stevens & Douglas. Winner: Samoa Joe
- Team 3D is interviewed by Jeremy Borash. Brother D-Von is nursing a shoulder injury that he suffered in a match against The James Gang. Brother Ray insults the WWE’s attempts at resurrecting ECW because they were the heart of it. They challenge The James Gang to another match, but this time the rules will be in the favor of the tougher team.
King of the Mountain Qualifier: Abyss vs Rhino – James Mitchell is not at ringside for Abyss due to injuries he suffered at Sacrifice. The last time these two men fought, Abyss won because of the interference from Bobby Roode. History repeated itself again as Roode hit the ring. Rhino hit the gore on Roode but was then distracted by Roode’s manager Scott D’Amore. This interference allowed Abyss to hit the black hole slam on Rhino to get the win. After the match, Scott D’Amore slapped Rhino. Winner: Abyss
