- Tonight’s show takes place in Rey Mysterio’s hometown of San Diego.
- The show starts with JBL doing a promo in the ring where he insults Rey, Eddie Guerrero, immigrants, Mexicans, and Latin Americans. After insulting Rey’s family, Rey enters the ring and beats up JBL until security breaks it up.
#1 Contender’s Match: Kid Kash vs Super Crazy vs Nunzio – The winner of this match will face Gregory Helms for the cruiserweight title at Judgment Day. Last week, this match was interrupted by The Great Kahli. Gregory Helms is at ringside doing commentary for this match. Kid Kash was on the top rope while Nunzio set up Super Crazy for the Doomsday device but Super Crazy rolled up Nunzio for the win. Winner: Super Crazy
- Kurt Angle is in Teddy Long’s office and he demands to face Mark Henry. Teddy Long says he can’t compete until he gets medical clearance. Teddy Long sets up the match between Mark Henry and Kurt Angle at Judgment Day.
The Gymini vs Mike Wellington and Joey Ryan – The Gymini take their time in beating these jobbers and you can hear some boring chants that made it past the editing room. Winners: The Gymini

- Booker T and Sharmell enter the ring. Booker T has a nasty black eye from his altercation with Batista at the SummerSlam commercial shoot earlier this week. He complains that he wasn’t given the opportunity to beat Kurt Angle. He doesn’t want to accept a forfeit victory and gives Kurt till the count of 10 to enter the ring. After counting to 10, Booker & Sharmell celebrate.
King of the Ring: Lashley vs Finlay – The winner of this match will face Booker T in the tournament final at Judgment Day. These two men have had some exciting matches against each other over the past few months. This match is not one of them. Booker T came out during the match and watched the match from the throne set up at the top of the ramp. Finlay tried to bring his shillelagh into the ring but the ref stopped him. When the ref put the weapon away, Finlay hit Lashley with a steel chair. Lashley totally no sold the chair shot and hit the spear on Finlay to get the win. After the match, Lashley told Booker T to get out of his seat. Winner: Lashley
- MNM are in the ring to cut a promo. When they are distracted by Jillian, Paul London and Brian Kendrick come into the ring and pull down the pants of Mercury and Nitro. When Melina is distracted by this, Jillian runs into the ring and pulls down her pants.
Mark Henry vs Paul Birchill –The pirate’s push has come to a screeching halt. Mark Henry totally dominated this match and put away Birchill with the power slam. Winner: Mark Henry
- Tatanka goes through his tribal naming ceremony. This makes him an official member of the Lakota tribe. Next week he will go through another ceremony.
- Vito and Nunzio are talking in the back. After Vito leaves, Orlando Jordan tells Nunzio that he thinks that he saw Vito dressed in drag while they were in England. For a second I thought I was watching The Soprano’s.
Non-title Match: World Champion Rey Mysterio vs The Great Kahli w/Daivari – The match starts off with a face to stomach stare down. Even though he is the world champ, Rey can not counteract the two foot and two hundred pound difference. In the worst performance ever by a champion, Rey gets absolutely destroyed by the new comer and is easily pinned. After the match, JBL says that next week he has another challenger for Rey to face. He doesn’t say who it will be but the show will be telecast on May 19, a very important date to Kane. Winner: The Great Kahli
