- JBL is in the ring and demands that Rey Mysterio fight him tonight because what happened at Judgment Day was a fluke. Rey comes out and says that he hasn’t seen JBL defend his U.S. title. This upsets JBL and he says that he will take on anyone. Just as JBL did to Rey for the past few weeks, Rey had a bad surprise set up for JBL.
U.S. Title: Champ JBL vs Lashley – JBL was in total shock about having to face Lashley. It took only a minute and a half for Lashley to hit the spear on JBL to win the U.S. title. Winner: Lashley
- JBL storms into Teddy Long's office. JBL tells Teddy that if he can’t beat Rey he will quit. Teddy then makes a world title match between Rey and JBL for tonight with the stipulation that if JBL losses he will retire.
Tatanka vs Simon Dean – This is Tatanka’s first match since joining the Lakota tribe in a series of ceremonies over the past few weeks. Tatanka easily wins this match and uses the Wikea (means Thunder) to get the pin. Winner: Tatanka
- Matt Hardy is in Teddy Long’s office. Paul Heyman then enters the office. Teddy Long is unhappy that Heyman is scouting his talent for ECW.
Mark Henry vs Chris Benoit – Three 6 Mafia performs Mark’s theme song live in the arena because it is on the new WWE CD Wreckless Intent. Most of the match features Benoit try to apply the crippler cross face. When he finally applies it, “The World’s Strongest Man” tosses Benoit off of him and out of the ring. Outside the ring, Mark smashed Benoit back first into the ring post several times. Henry then continued the assault after being disqualified and gave Benoit a variation of the camel clutch. Due to the injuries Benoit suffered in this match and several more nagging injuries, the WWE has announced that Chris Benoit will be taking an indefinite sabbatical. Winner: Chris Benoit by DQ
- Coronation Ceremony for King Booker T and Queen Sharmell - William Regal introduces the King and the Queen to the crowd and is in charge of the ceremony. The ceremony ends with Regal chanting “Long Live King Booker.”
- Vito and Nunzio are in the back. Nunzio is talking about their match later tonight but Vito seems distracted. Nunzio asks if the rumors of him dressing like a woman have him distracted and he says they’re all fugazis. Non-title Match: WWE Tag Team Champs Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs Nunzio and Vito - London dropkicks Vito out of the ring which allows Kendrick to deliver a modified bulldog while running up the ropes to get the win for his team. Winners: London & Kendrick
- A video for the soon to be returning Ken Kennedy is shown.
- Chavo Guerrero enters Rey Mysterio’s locker room. Chavo says that he will be in Rey’s corner tonight because of all that Rey has been through the past few weeks.
Finlay vs Paul Birchill – It took Finlay a little over a minute to destroy the pirate. He pinned him after hitting his new move the celtic cross (a muscle buster). After the match, Finlay gets a leprechaun from under the ring that beats up Birchill with the shillelagh. When Finlay thought the leprechaun did enough damage, Finlay kicked his leprechaun back under the ring. Winner: Finlay
World Title Match: Champ Rey Mysterio w/Chavo Guerrero vs JBL – If JBL loses, he will have to quit SmackDown! The match appeared to be over when JBL hit the clothesline from hell and got the three count. However, Rey had his foot on the rope and the ref ordered the match to be restarted. JBL mockingly did Eddie Guerrero’s three amigos. After a ref bump, JBL hit Rey with a low blow and then hit Chavo in the head with a chair. JBL brings the chair into the ring and it winds up being used against him. Rey hit a spinning tornado DDT onto the chair followed by the 619 and a leg drop off the top rope to get the win. Winner: Rey Mysterio
