In 2009, the WWE rebranded several of their PPV events. The traditional December PPV event, Armageddon, was replaced by TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. The concept of this event is based upon the TLC match which the event culminates with. However, before that match takes place, fans get to see all three of those weapons used by themselves in other matches on the card.
