WWE Breaking Point History

In 2009, the WWE rebranded several of their annual PPV events. One of the casualties of this move was Unforgiven. In its place, the WWE created Breaking Point. The theme of this event is that the matches deemed to be main events are submission style matches.

- I Quit Match for the WWE Championship: John Cena beat Randy Orton to win the title
- Submission Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk beat the Undertaker
