The Bottom Line
This DVD features close to six hours of ECW Wrestling. While fans of the original ECW feel that the new show can never live up to the original product, this DVD shows that there have been some great matches that have happened since the company was reborn. As a matter of fact, my 2006 match of the year is on this DVD. If you are a fan of either the original or the new ECW you have to buy this DVD. If you don't like either, then you should pass on this one.
Pros
- This DVD is all matches and doesn't try to retell the story of ECW.
- The alternative commentary on the scaffold match is a must listen to feature.
- The two discs keep the old and new ECW separated.
- The selections on disc 1 give don't ignore any era of the original ECW.
Cons
- Entrance themes are edited to reflect either the new theme songs or stock music.
- Televised matches are edited to reflect commercial breaks.
- Printing error on the box shortchanges the length of the DVD by 3 hours.
- Can't fast forward the "Don't Try This at Home" warning on both discs.
