Just like ECW many years ago, Ring of Honor is the third largest wrestling promotion in the U.S. that has given many wrestlers exposure that got them signed with the two larger wrestling organizations. All of the matches on this DVD feature wrestlers that are currently in the WWE or TNA.
Review & Recommendation
Unlike the WWE DVDs I normally review, I am not an expert on Ring of Honor and am not in a position to complain about the matches that would have been better on this DVD. For the first time in a long-time, I was able to watch a DVD and base my review on whether I enjoyed it or not and not wondering what could have made this DVD better.
I should also note that the wrestlers featured in this DVD aren't green rookies learning to wrestle. Just like Guerrero, Malenko, Mysterio and Jericho used ECW to get noticed by the larger wrestling organizations, many of the wrestlers on this DVD just needed to get noticed to make it to the big leagues. Some of the wrestlers on the DVD were already stars that were momentarily out of the Big 2.
Recommendation: Overall, I enjoyed this DVD. The best thing I could equate it to is watching an old ECW DVD featuring wrestlers before they were signed to the WWF or WCW.
