In honor of the 15th anniversary of Monday Night RAW, the WWE has released this CD featuring 17 tracks representing the best wrestler theme songs from the show. All of the songs, with the exception of two that have writing credits given to WWE performers, are at least co-written by Jim Johnston.
Listening to this CD was a nice walk back through time, although a majority of the songs can still be heard on either RAW or SmackDown today. The most notable thing to me was that Triple H has three different theme songs on this CD. It got me to thinking that in his time in the WWE, he has had a lot of theme songs and you might even be able to make a compilation CD out of only his theme songs. This bothered me, so I had to figure out just how many he has had. According to Wrestling Information Archive, they list seven theme songs. However, that list is missing at least one song, The Kings by Run DMC. If anyone knows the answer to how many theme songs he has had, please email me because it has been bothering me for the past few days.

Recommendation

This CD is a nice compilation of most of the famous theme songs of wrestlers over the past few years. My biggest gripe with the CD is that it is less than an hour long. I would have liked to have seen a few more songs on the disc. The other problem with this CD is that since all of the songs have been written by WWE employees, there are no songs written by those outside of the company which could have been on this CD. As an example, Edge's current theme and several of the Undertaker's theme songs over the years have been excluded because of this reason.

As far as buying this CD, if you are a collector of theme songs, you probably already own most of these songs and should just go to iTunes to get the few you don't already have. If you have never bought a WWE CD before, this would be a good one to start your collection off with.
