New Jack

ECW star New Jack is a former bounty hunter with several justified homicides to his credit. Barry uses his Hollywood contacts to get New Jack a reading. The people he reads for then have a debate if he could be cast as a Denzel Washington or just one of Denzel's friends.

The Unknowns

Two unknown wrestlers are followed as they try to enter the WWF. The movie shows their trainer and the indy fed they work for. They are then given a tryout in a WWF dark match at a TV taping. This scene gives a great view of what a wrestler goes through to get to the WWF.

ECW & WWF

The movie has backstage access to the WWF and ECW. The ECW scenes are surreal as you see where they film the promos (I don't want to ruin the surprise) and get a backstage pass to the first ECW PPV Event Barely Legal. The WWF scenes are also really good. The backstage access at Royal Rumble 99 is very impressive.

Overall Recommendation

This DVD must be watched by anyone that claims to be a wrestling fan. No other movie or documentary has ever had so much access to the wrestlers and promotions. In addition, the movie makes you care about the wrestling stars. Most importantly, the movie is entertaining, whether or not you are a wrestling fan.
