5/15 Monday Night RAW Recap

By , About.com Guide

- The show was scheduled to begin with a WWE Title match between John Cena and Triple H. After Triple H entered the ring, Vince McMahon came out and changed the match. He made the following match.

Texas Tornado Handicap Match for the WWE & I-C Title: WWE Champ John Cena & I-C Champ Rob Van Dam vs Triple H, Shelton Benjamin, & Chris Masters – All 5 men are allowed in the ring at the same time and if either Cena or RVD were pinned, they would lose their title. The match ended with Triple H giving both RVD and Cena the pedigree. Triple H then pinned Cena but did not realize that a split second before he went on Cena that Shelton Benjamin covered RVD to win the I-C title. A frustrated Triple H then gave the ref a pedigree. Winner and new I-C Champ: Shelton Benjamin

- Trish Stratus is in the ring and calls out Mickie James. The mystery woman from last week comes out and runs Mickie out of the ring. Her name is revealed to be Beth and she Mickie did something to her in the past.

- Clips from the premiere of Kane’s movie See No Evil are shown. Throughout the evening there are several videos of Kane’s career and about the movie.

- Shane McMahon entered Triple H’s locker room and told him that the last match was considered his title shot and he has to do Vince a favor now. He will have to be in the corner of Kenny in his match later tonight against Shawn Michaels.

World Tag Team Championship: Champs The Spirit Squad (Johnny & Nicky) w/Mitch & Mikey vs Snitsky & Goldust – Mitch and Nicky continually interfered in this match and their interference won the match for the team. Mikey used the trampoline to deliver a bulldog on Snitsky which allowed Nicky to make the pin. Winners: The Spirit Squad

- Mick Foley enters the ring to explain his actions from last week. Terry Funk comes out and wants to know why he attacked Tommy Dreamer. Foley says that he did it to preserve his legacy and then got on Terry’s case for missing his MSG ceremony a few years ago because he demanded too much money. The two men eventually came to blows. Edge and Lita join the fray and they hit Funk with the barbed wire bat. Mick & Edge then give Terry the mandible claw/spear combo. I can not describe how bad Terry looked when he was “brawling” with Mick.

Matt Striker vs Eugene – When Eugene went for the rock bottom, Striker reversed it and gave him a modified neck breaker to get the win. Winner: Matt Striker

- Maria interviews Carlito and double entendres about spitting and swallowing the apple ensue.

- Vince McMahon is in the back groping Candice Michelle when Triple H enters his office. He gives Triple H a sledge hammer and tells him he better use it on Shawn Michaels tonight.

Umaga w/Armando Alejandro Estrada vs Chris Wellman – This is a toal squash match that ends with the thumb to the throat. Winner: Umaga

Shawn Michaels vs Kenny – Shane McMahon is the referee, The Spirit Squad is banned from ringside and Triple H is outside the ring with a sledge hammer. Shane acts more like Kenny’s partner than as a referee. The show ends when Triple H goes to hit Shawn with the sledge hammer and accidentally hit Shane instead. Vince McMahon came running into the ring and was cursing out Triple H who claimed it was an accident. Winner: No Contest
