- Vince McMahon will be taking the night off to celebrate his victory last night at Backlash. He appoints The Spirit Squad as the GM’s for the night. They announce that Kenny will be facing John Cena for the WWE title tonight and that they will make the Diva’s dress like cheer leaders tonight.
- Jerry Lawler and Joey Styles are doing the announcing tonight.
Torrie Wilson & Maria vs Victoria & Mickie James – All the Divas are dressed up as cheerleaders. When Mickie James tries to suplex Maria into the ring, Trish Stratus comes out and tripped Mickie which allowed Maria to make the pin. Winners: Torrie Wilson & Maria
The Spirit Squad (Johnny/Mikey/Nicky) vs Eugene, Goldust & Snitsky – When Eugene tried to give Johnny the stunner, Johnny reversed it and hit the Johhny-go-round. Winners: The Spirit Squad
- On WWE.com unlimited, Maria was attacked by Mickie James when she was hosting her Kiss Camera segment.
- When Eugene is being interviewed by Todd Grisham, Matt Striker attacks him with a dictionary.
- The Spirit Squad tells Shawn Michaels that he will referee the next match and give him a shirt with May 19 written all over it.
Kane vs Rob Conway - Shawn Michaels is the referee for this match.. When Shawn checks Rob for weapons, he puts the shirt on him. Kane brutally beats up Conway and gives him the choke slam before leaving the ring. When Kane is walking away, Shawn says May 19 on the microphone and lays it on Conway. Kane comes back into the ring and delivers the tombstone piledriver on Conway and then makes the pin. Winner: Kane
Umaga w/Armando Alejandro Estrada vs Rory Fox – Umaga destroyed Fox and put him out of his misery after giving him the spike. Winner: Umaga
- Vince is in his office making out with Candice Michelle. Triple H enters the office and is told by Vince that he will be the referee for tonight’s title match. Triple H doesn’t want to do it and tries to make a deal with Vince but Vince warns him that if he doesn’t referee the match, he will be an old man before he ever gets another title shot.
The Cutting Edge with special guest Mick Foley: Foley congratulates Edge for his victory at WrestleMania and then challenges him to a match. Edge and Foley will be meeting next week in a match where Foley can pick the stipulations. Foley has promised barbed wire, razor wire, and thumbtacks.
Masterlock Challenge: Chris Masters put Rob Van Dam in the master lock. Within seconds, Shelton Benjamin came out and started to beat on RVD. Carlito came out with a chair and went after Masters and Benjamin. Nicky came out and made the next match.
Rob Van Dam & Carlito vs Chris Masters & Shelton Benjamin – The match started during the break. Joey Styles receives a note telling him to report to see the Spirit Squad immediately. When Shelton was about to use a chair, Charlie Haas appeared from the audience and grabbed it. This distraction gave Carlito the chance to roll up Shelton for the win. Winners: Rob Van Dam & Carlito
- Joey Styles is in the Spirit Squad’s office where they tell him that he doesn’t have enough spirit. They warn him to show some spirit for Kenny’s match or he will be forced to wear a woman’s cheer leader outfit next week. They want him to practice saying “your new WWE Champion is Kenny” before the match.
- After the break Lawler gets on Styles case to get him to say the words. Styles says that in ECW he never would have worked with a hack like Lawler. Styles slapped Lawler who shoved Styles. Styles walked out of the arena.
- When the show comes back from break Lawler tries to apologize to Styles. Styles delivers a great worked shoot promo about how he hates sports entertainment and how he is sick of what he has been calling in the ring for the past few months. He then quits.
WWE Title Match: Champ John Cena vs Kenny with guest referee Triple H – Todd Grisham takes Style’s spot. When Cena went for the FU, Triple H punched him in the face. He allowed The SS to continually attack Cena but he was really lazy making the count. Kenny got upset by this and shoved him. Triple H gave the pedigree to another member of the Squad and left. Shawn Michaels came out to finish refereeing the match and had a long stare down with Triple H on the ramp. Shawn gave Kenny the super kick and then he and Cena beat up the rest of the SS. Cena then gave Kenny the FU to get the win. Winner: John Cena
