- Vince McMahon enters the ring and gives a theological lesson. Vince announces and then tries to convert people to McMahonism. Vince wanted a sign to show that he is wrong and while he was praising himself, Shawn Michaels snuck into the ring and gave him the sweet chin music.
- Triple H sees Vince in the back and suggests that he should lay off the God stuff. Vince then makes Triple H vs Cena & Edge for tonight as punishment for calling him an old man last week.
Kane vs Rob Conway - Kane destroys Conway and wins with the choke slam. After the match, Kane chokes Lilian Garcia. The Big Show comes to the ring and gives Kane a choke slam to return the favor from last week. Winner: Kane
- Chavo Guerrero interview with Jim Ross: Just when you thought the exploitation of Eddie Guerreros death was over, a new angle based on Eddies death is started. Chavo retired two weeks ago because he lost a match that had promised to win for Eddie. Chavo says that the loss was a monumental turn in his life and that his wrestling career has come to an end. I hope this doesnt mean the return of Kerwin White?
- Due to injuries suffered by Lilian Garcia, The Coach is the new ring announcer.
Backlash Match Stipulations: Shelton Benjamin vs ??? If RVDs wrestler wins then RVD gets an I-C title match at Backlash, if his wrestler losses then their match will be for the money in the bank title shot. The surprise wrestler is Charlie Haas, Sheltons former tag team partner. When Shelton has the advantage he tries to mock RVD but misses the 5 star splash. Haas then rolls up Shelton to get the win. Winner: Charlie Haas
- Armando Alejandro Estrada enters Vinces office. He claims to be a convert to McMahonism and wants to donate the services of Umaga to fight Shawn Michaels tonight. Vince makes the match and then Shelton Benjamin enters his office and asks for his help. Shelton says that when he lost he saw the light and he is now a follower of McMahonism.
Umaga w/ Estrada vs Shawn Michaels Early in the match, Vince comes to ringside. His interference costs Shawn the opportunity to win the match. Umaga gets Shawn tied to the tree of woe and beats up Shawn and the referee. He ties Shawn to the ropes and continues his beating until Vince tells him to go to the back so he can finish off Shawn. Vince gets his sign from above as he cant enter the ring due to fireworks explosions and when he leaves the explosions follow him up the ramp. Winner: Shawn Michaels by DQ
- Vince flees the arena.
- Matt Strikers class room segment: He tells the crowd that their problem is that they are more concerned with being cool than being smart. Carlito comes out looking for his apple which Striker has on his desk. Carlito says that he had stupid teachers and was expelled for spitting his apple at his teacher. Carlito then spits his apple at Striker and beats him up. Chris Masters comes out and puts Carlito in the Master Lock.
Handicap Match: Rob Van Dam vs The Spirit Squad Due to Sheltons conversion, if RVD loses this match, the money in the bank title shot will also be on the line at Backlash. This is a 5 on 1 match. The Spirit Squad hits the high spirits and a great version of the death sentence to get the win. Winners: The Spirit Squad
- Maria interviews Trish Stratus dressed as Mickie James and says that she has a surprise for the other Trish (or Mickie) in the ring.
- Trish (Mickie James) has a giant box in the ring for Mickie (Trish). Inside the box is Trishs ex-boyfriend Jack. Mickie tries to defend her boyfriend and gets beaten up. After getting beaten up, she beats up Jack for cheating on her.
Handicap Match: Triple H vs John Cena & Edgew/Lita The team of Edge & Cena start fighting with each other and when the ref gets hit, Triple H is the only man still standing. He gets the sledgehammer and hits Cena. Edge, who was playing possum, hits the spear on Triple H to get the win for his team. Winners: Edge & John Cena
