Jessica Hatch, a 2007 Diva Search contestant, was kind enough to take time out of her schedule to answer some questions from me via e-mail. If you would like to see Jessica become the next Diva Search winner, go to wwe.com for the details on how to vote for her.

1 – Why did you decide to enter the 2007 Diva Search contest?
Because it gave me an opportunity to use both my athleticism and being in front of the camera in front of thousands of people. I love playing sports. I want to be able to entertain people and this is more than I could ask for so I jumped at the opportunity and I went full force in the audition to present myself into the casting call with hopes and aspirations of becoming the next diva.

2 – Prior to entering the contest, were you a wrestling fan. If so, how long have you been one and who are your favorite WWE Superstars?
I've been a fan of Hulk Hogan since I was a younger girl. Growing up I've always been an athlete myself and have been running from one sport to the next most of my life so I've always been traveling but when I got the opportunity to watch I loved tuning in. Since I've been in this competition I've been absolutely intrigued From the moment I became a diva search contestant I became even more intrigued by the wrestling industry than I was before. I'm excited about becoming part of the WWE family. Everyone I've met from the casting directors to the behind the scenes people are absolutely wonderful and I couldn't ask for a better place to be in my life. I'm a big fan of John Cena. I'm very sad though about his injury but I wish him the best and a fast recovery. I admired Trish Stratus and her passion and her skills. She was a fitness model when she started but she busted her butt to become one of the greatest women's wrestlers ever.

3 – What is a typical day like as a contestant?
A typical day for me would be waking up and getting a quick workout before the day gets going, then I head off to corporate America and on my lunch break I have my food ready to go so I can stay in the office to I can talk to fans on my website and my myspace. I hope all y'all check out http://www.jesshatch.com and my myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/jessdhatch. I'd love to hear from everyone. I make sure I write a personal response to each and every fan that writes to me. If I am not able to catch up on messages then I finish writing to fans at the end of the day before I go to sleep. On certain days I do photo interviews and photo shoots as they come up. On Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays I watch WWE. We have WWE Raw parties every Monday night. Tuesdays I have doubleheader softball games and when I get home I watch ECW. On Wednesday nights I have my church night. On Thursdays I prepare for the weekend in which I usually go out of town to do promotional events. The weekends vary. This weekend I am going to be in Kokomo, Indiana. I'll get to meet Jerry Lawler and Jim Cornette for the first time.

4 – In previous years, the contest was held in front of live arenas. Do you know at what point the contest may start to be held in front of an audience and are how are you preparing for eventually being in front of 20,000 fans?
When it gets down to the final 3 we will be live on Monday Night RAW. I've been prepared from day one for the thousands of fans in the arena and the millions that watch on TV and I'm getting more and more anxious as the weeks go on throughout the promotional, radio, and events that I've been participating in. I can't wait to be the last one standing.

5 – Several current Divas, including WWE Women's Champion Candice Michelle, were part of the Diva search but didn’t win the contest. If you don’t win the contest, will you still try to become a WWE Diva?
Whenever I work to reach a goal I don't stop until I get there. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get to WWE. If that means training in OVW to get there then that is what I'll do. No matter what I will pursue this passion that I have.

6 – Are you getting any wrestling training and are you looking forward to eventually becoming the WWE Women’s Champion?
Being that I am a Houstonian and having Booker T's wrestling school just around the corner I am looking to train with him soon. By all means I would not even attempt to be a diva if I didn't have the intentions of being the women's champion one day. I have full intentions of training my butt off in order to become the women's champion one day. I realize that it can't happen overnight and I have to pay my dues but I hope to earn everyone's respect first by becoming well-rounded in the ring and once I'm ready then I can become Women's Champion.
