Brian Fritz: Well, the book was something that I honestly didn't even know was going to happen. I got approached to do it by ECW Press and Michael Holmes with the publishing company. It was just a concept that when I got approached to do it, I spoke to Christopher Murray, the co-author of the book, and we came up with the idea to do it. We felt like we had enough material, considering we had been on the air for 8 years, and we wanted to come up with something that was a little bit different from other wrestling books since there are a lot of them there. And we had a pretty good idea, in that we could cover the last eight years in wrestling, because there has been so much that's gone on between the 4 major promotions: WWE, WCW, ECW, and TNA. Especially when it came to TNA, because nobody had a done a book on TNA yet so we felt like we had enough material where we could cover all of that and offer our own perspective, and put quotes in the book from all the different people we had talked to over the years on the show. We have been lucky enough to speak with a lot of different guys on the radio show. So why not include their quotes and get their perspective on everything?
Eric: Talking about the radio show, how can my readers listen to it?
Brian: Anybody can listen to the show. In Central Florida, we’re on Sports Radio 740 and if you’re not in the area, you can listen online, we stream the show online, both from the station's web site, which is 740theteam.com, or you can go to our official web site, which is between the ropes.com. We stream it live. The show is live every Wednesday night, from 10 to midnight Eastern. And then what we do is archive the show on the web site. About 10 or 15 minutes after the show each week, we have it available online, so people can go back to it and listen to it there. Also we have some past interviews as well and put that on the archives section of the website. Note: 740 is no longer a sports radio station and the show no longer airs on the radio. It can still be heard online.
Eric: One of the things I was impressed with in the book is that it seemed that you have spoken to anyone and everyone that has been in the business. I was wondering if there was any one particular interview that you couldn't get over the past eight years in because he hasn’t been willing to go on the show?
Brian: It's not that he won't go on, it’s sometimes you don't get much cooperation sometimes from the companies. When it comes to the WWE, they are very protective of who does interviews and when. It can be very difficult to line up interviews. Not only because they are very protective but also because of everybody's schedule. We'd love to have Triple H on the show. Just because he is such a dynamic figure when it comes to wrestling and he's a very polarizing figure as well. We'd love to have him on. We haven't been able to speak to him yet. He's definitely a guy at the top of the list of someone we would want to talk with. Kurt Angle is a guy we've never had on as well. He would be another person we would love to have the opportunity to speak with on the show.
