Definition: A singlet in professional wrestling is a variation of the singlet used in amateur wrestling. Unlike in amateur wrestling pro wrestling singlets come in a variety of styles. They all share one thing in common. You must put them on like a pair of pants and you finish putting it on putting something over your shoulder.

The bottom-half of singlets in pro wrestling can be either shorts of cover the entire leg. The top piece is either a strap over one shoulder, a strap over both shoulders, or something that resembles a shirt in that is more than just a strap.

Examples:
The most famous single-strap singlet in wrestling history is the one that was worn by Andre the Giant.
