- Paul Heyman announced that despite losing the WWE title last night he was still the ECW Champion. He says that he was a fighting champion and that he would celebrate RVD’s accomplishments. The Big Show enters Paul’s office and says that he demands the title shot he was promised when he joined ECW.
- Kelly’s Expose: Tonight’s striptease is a salute to America. I guess that using the American flag to cover herself and then tossing it to the floor classifies as some type of salute to America. Before finishing removing her clothes, Mike Knox stops her.
Mike Knox vs Little Guido – The fans start several vulgar chants and at one point the sound is dumped from the network. If the show is not live next week, this will be the reason why. After many bodyslams, the crowd starts a loud boring chant in between a number of vulgarities. Knox wins with his move that the announcers still won’t describe or give a name to. It has to be said that the Philadelphia crowd does not seem happy with the new ECW. Winner: Mike Knox
- Rob Van Dam demands from Paul Heyman that he makes the match for him against The Big Show tonight.
- A guy dressed like a priest comes out and starts complaining about the values that ECW promotes. He then says that he isn’t a priest but used the outfit so he could express his views. He climbs over the rails with the crowd. When he sits down, The Sandman comes out. He takes him out of the crowd and canes him.
- RVD enters the Big Show’s locker room and slaps him in the face before accepting his challenge. After the break, RVD spoke to Paul Heyman and Heyman said that he understands why Rob accepted the challenge.
Test vs Al Snow – According to Mick Foley’s books, this is a battle between the two most boring wrestlers. The match is quick and Test wins with a neck breaker. Winner: Test
- A vignette for Sabu is shown. He talks in this vignette, which is something he never did in the original ECW.
- The vampire is outside the arena.
- C.M. Punk has his first interview and says that the only thing he is addicted to is wrestling.
Extreme Rules Match for the ECW Title: Champ Rob Van Dam vs The Big Show – The crowd starts a marijuana chant in honor of their hero RVD. After The Big Show delivers a choke slam and gets a two count, The Big Show beats up the ref. RVD recovers and delivers the five star frog splash. Paul Heyman runs into the ring and counts to two before stopping and double crossing RVD. When RVD, tried to confront Heyman, The Big Show nails RVD with a chair and then delivers a choke slam on the chair. Paul makes the three count and celebrates with the new champion while the fans throw garbage into the ring. Winner and new champ: The Big Show
