John Cena Superstar Collection DVD Review

John Cena is the biggest star in the WWE Universe and it makes sense that one of the two initial releases for their new line of budget DVDs is about him.

Format of the DVD: The first two releases in this new series were for John Cena and Zack Ryder. Both of these releases have the same format and an approximate running time of 90 minutes. This one starts off with a brief highlight package of John's career before going onto the matches.

Match Selection: This DVD features four matches. Three of them are for world titles and the fourth is for a Slammy Award. Half of these matches have already been released on another non-PPV DVD.

Overall Recommendation: The matches are more entertaining on this one than they were on the Zack Ryder DVD. Unfortunately, I have a tough time recommending this DVD. My favorite match on this DVD, the Triple Threat Match from Survivor Series '09 was already released on The John Cena Experience. Because that 3-disc DVD set came out a few years ago, you can find it online for almost the same price as this 90-minute DVD. I would recommend buying that one before this one. I would only recommend buying this DVD if you don't already have a Cena disc in your collection or if you want to buy a gift for a John Cena fan and don't want to spend too much time or money looking for another wrestling DVD.
