RVD hits AJ Styles with the 5-Star Frog Splash at Sacrifice 2010.

The first Sacrifice pay-per-view event took place in August of 2005. In 2006, the event was moved to May where it has remained as the event that follows Lockdown, TNA's annual all-steel cage match event. This show has never left the iMPACT Zone and has featured a surprisingly low number of title changes during its history.

In 2013, TNA changed their pay-per-view strategy.  As a result, this show has been retired.
