Bound for Glory is the biggest event of the year on the TNA calendar. The second installment of this show marked the first time that TNA held a 3-hour PPV outside of the iMPACT! Zone. Every year since then, this show has been on the road.

When one looks back at the history of this event, Sting's name stands out. From 2006 - 2008, Sting won either the NWA or TNA World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of the show. His streak was broken in 2009 when he lost to TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles.
