For the first time in history, WrestleMania will be taking place outdoors in a cold weather climate.
10. Will Matt Hardy be going to prison?
Starting in August of 2011, Matt Hardy began a downward spiral which saw him arrested four times, involved in multiple vehicular incidents, released from his job, hospitalized several times, and even kicked out of rehab. While Matt seems to have straightened his life out in 2012, the legal mess from 2011 is still an issue he is going to have to deal with in 2013.
9. Will WWE programming have more "Attitude" in 2013?
After losing her bid for Senate again in 2012, one has to assume that Linda McMahon will not be running for political office anytime again soon. Many have blamed the current PG era on her political aspirations. If those people are correct then hopefully WWE programming will be geared a little bit more towards adults again.
8. Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania sues you?
In 2012, Hulk Hogan was involved in a sex tape scandal. When the tape went public, he sued Bubba the Love Sponge, Heather Clem, and gawker.com. He settled his suit with Bubba a few weeks later but still has a $100 million case against Gawker.
7. Who will headline the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2013?
One of the biggest questions asked every year is who will headline the Hall of Fame Class. With the Hall of Fame Ceremony taking place inside of Madison Square Garden, this year's show will a bit more historic. This year's ceremony will be taking place just two months shy of the 50th anniversary of Bruno Sammartino winning the WWE Championship in that venue. I really hope that this is the year when both sides can work out their issues and allow the fans to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the title in the most proper way possible.
6. Who will the Undertaker wrestle at WrestleMania XXIX?
For the past two years, Undertaker has only fought twice and both of them were in WrestleMania victories against Triple H. Those two wins have brought the streak up to 20. Who will be victim 21? Looking over the current roster, the four most likely opponents are Brock Lesnar, the Rock, John Cena, and CM Punk.
5. Who is the leader of Aces & Eights?
Aces & Eights are a biker gang which has been running roughshod over TNA for the past few months. While two members of the group have been unmasked, the identities of the rest of the group still remain anonymous. While a huge masked man appears to be in charge of the group based upon their meetings at their table, my gut feeling is that the leader of the group has yet to appear in masked form. My guess is that Eric Bischoff will be revealed as the leader of the group as he tries to take control of the company once again. The biker theme fits in well with the reality television show his company produces, The Devil's Ride, which follows a motorcycle club.
4. Will The Rock win the WWE Championship?
Finally, The Rock will be having a championship match on pay-per-view. The last time he fought for a championship on pay-per-view was back in 2012. Since returning to the ring in 2010, he is undefeated at 2-0. If he wins his next match, he will walk out of The Royal Rumble as WWE Champion.
3. When will WWE Network launch?
One of the more exciting pieces of news to come out in 2011 was that the WWE was going to be launching their own network. It was originally scheduled to launch in 2012 and as of now there is no set date for launch. While the launch of the channel doesn't seem as imminent as it did this time a year ago, it is still something very important that is on the company's agenda.
2. Will is snow?
While there have been WrestleMania events that have taken place outdoors, those shows have always been in a warm climate. This year, WrestleMania XIX will be taking place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey where it is normally cold in April. Even more ominous than the cold is the possibility of snow. One has to wonder how the weather will impact both the wrestlers and the fans.
1. How will WWE celebrate their 50th anniversary?
In 1963, Capitol Wrestling Corporation split for the National Wrestling Alliance and crowned their own champion. They changed their name to the World Wide Wrestling Federation and created their own championship. I hope WWE does something special to honor their golden anniversary but my feeling is that they do something very low key as celebrating being 50 won't make them seem as hip or cutting edge to their current fan base.
