Vengeance 2011 featured Mark Henry defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Big Show and Alberto Del Rio defend the WWE Championship against John Cena in a Last Man Standing Match. As the cover of the DVD shows, this event always will be remembered for the ring collapsing during the World Heavyweight Championship Match.

What I Said Then: This event was designed as a way to get us from Hell in a Cell to Survivor Series. The show accomplished this much better than Bragging Rights, the event which this show replaced on the WWE calendar, could have. This show was also an upgrade over the concept and execution of Bragging Rights. While there were no match of the year candidates, there wasn't anything horrible on this show either. It wasn't a bad way to spend three hours and I would recommend renting the DVD when it comes out.

Has My Opinion Changed? No.

Overall Recommendation:
This DVD is definitely worth a Netflix rental. However, I don't recommend purchasing it. The most famous moment from this show has already been released on the DVD for the greatest PPV matches of 2011. While my review for that set has yet to be posted, based upon what I have seen of it so far, I recommend buying that set over this DVD. I plan to have my review for that DVD posted during the first week of January.
