- TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2011 took place on December 18, 2011, at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. The announcers for this show were Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole.

US Championship: Champion Dolph Ziggler vs. Zack Ryder - Vickie Guerrero escorted Dolph Ziggler to the ring. Forget about the action that took place in the ring, #TLC is the number one trend on Twitter. After hitting the Broski Boot, Vickie Guerrero draped Dolph's foot on the rope to stop the count. The referee then ordered her to leave the ringside area. We weren't told whether her leaving trended on Twitter or not. A few minutes later, Zack hit the Rough Ryder to get the win. Winner and New Champion: Zack Ryder

- While talking to Alicia Fox in the back of the arena, Booker T was attacked by Cody Rhodes.

WWE Tag Team Championship: Air Boom (Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne) vs. Primo & Epico - This match was not previously announced for the show. The challengers were escorted to the ring by Rosa Mendes. #Air Boom is trending on Twitter!!! The beginning of the end saw Evan Bourne fly off the top rope onto Epico who was standing outside of the ring. Following that, Kofi hit the Trouble in Paradise on Primo to get the win. Winners: Air Boom

- Teddy Long, dressed as Santa, had a Christmas tree set up in his office. Hornswoggle entered and was in a very cranky mood. Teddy then gave Hornswoggle a Christmas gift, Rosetta Stone Ebonics. Hornswoggle proceeded to stomp on Teddy's foot.

Tables Match: Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett - The only way to win this match is to make your opponent crash through a table. OMG!!! Three different terms related to this match are currently trending on Twitter. I think I'm going to crack open my New Year's Eve bottle of champagne a few weeks early to celebrate this. As far as the match goes, and who really cares about that when #Barret Barrage is trending on Twitter, Wade Barrett placed Randy Orton on a table and then climbed the top rope. He was going to deliver an elbow but Randy caught Wade in mid-air with an RKO through the table to get the win. Even though the announcers and graphics team won't give me a break from Twitter, I am going to stop mentioning it for the rest of the show. Winner: Randy Orton

- The Bella Twins were sitting on Santa's lap and arguing about which one was good and bad. Santa said that both were bad and gave them each his own personal telephone number in case they wanted to play any reindeer games. After they left, Jack Swagger entered and demanded he do something about Mark Henry hitting him with a chair on Friday night. Sheamus then entered Santa's lair. After trading insults with each other, Teddy Long made a match between Sheamus and Jack Swagger.

Divas Championship: Champion Beth Phoenix vs. Kelly Kelly - This was another unannounced match added to the show. Unlike their matches a few months ago, neither Eve nor Natalya were at ringside. Beth Phoenix won this match with a modified version of the Electric Chair. Winner: Beth Phoenix

Intercontinental Championship: Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Booker T - Booker T seemed fine as he headed to the ring. Unfortunately, he was ambushed by Cody during his walk to the ring. Booker needed assistance to the back after having his head and neck rammed into the barrier on the ramp. Winner: The Match Never Took Place

Sledgehammer Ladder Match: Triple H vs. Kevin Nash - A sledgehammer was hanging over the ring and the man that retrieved it could use it on his opponent. The two men were on to of the ladder when Triple H swung it into the face of Kevin Nash. Nash fell off the ladder and fell through a table. Triple H then grabbed the sledgehammer and worked over his former buddy with the stick end of it. He then tossed away the sledgehammer and gave his former friend the pedigree. Triple H grabbed the sledgehammer again and before he hit Nash with it, his former friend begged for mercy by giving him the Kliq sign. Triple H responded by giving him the D-X crotch chop and then hit in the head with the sledgehammer before going for the pin. Kevin Nash needed to be stretchered out of the ring. Winner: Triple H

Jack Swagger vs. Sheamus - Vickie Guerrero was at ringside representing Jack Swagger. Sheamus won the bout after hitting the Brogue Kick after Jack Swagger missed a move where he tried to grab Sheamus' leg. Winner: Sheamus

Chairs Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Champion Mark Henry vs. Big Show - Mark Henry entered the ring with his left ankle heavily taped up. When the bell rang, Big Show threw several chairs into the ring. Mark Henry wanted none of that and tried to leave the arena with his title but was stopped by the Big Show. When the two men were outside of the ring, Mark Henry slammed Big Show's right hand into the ring steps. Even with the injured hand, the Big Show was still able to use his KO punch to get the win. Following the bout, Mark Henry attacked the Big Show and gave him a DDT on top of several chairs. After that happened, Daniel Bryan's music hit. Winner and New Champion: Big Show

World Heavyweight Championship: Champion Big Show vs. Daniel Bryan - Daniel Bryan cashed in his Money in the Bank title shot. All he had to do was get on top of the Big Show to get the win. Winner and New Champion: Daniel Bryan

- Josh Mathews interviewed Booker T and Booker said that he was going to compete tonight.

Intercontinental Championship: Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Booker T - Despite entering the match hurt, Booker T was able to do the Spinarooni. After doing that, he missed the Scissors Kick twice. Cody then hit Booker with two of his flying kicks to get the win. Winner: Cody Rhodes

TLC Match for the WWE Championship: Champion CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. The Miz - The WWE Championship was dangling above the ring and the man that grabbed the title would win the bout. When CM Punk appeared ready to win the bout, Ricardo Rodriguez entered the ring and handcuffed Punk to the ladder. Punk was able to eventually break loose from the ladder but he fought the rest of the match with a handcuff on his wrist. Rodriguez was eventually taken out of the equation when he climbed the ladder and Punk and the Miz tipped it over causing Rodriguez to crash through a table outside of the ring. Later in the bout, the Miz handcuffed Punk to the ring apron. When Del Rio and the Miz fought on top of the ladder, Punk took part of the ring apart to escape. He knocked both men off the ladder and grabbed the title belt to retain the championship. Winner: CM Punk

What does this event mean for the future?
The end of this show marks the beginning of the Road to WrestleMania. The next WWE pay-per-view event is the Royal Rumble which will determine the contender for one of the main event title matches at WrestleMania XXVIII.

The road has begun with a major detour as Daniel Bryan is the new World Heavyweight Champion. One has to wonder whether Big Show or Mark Henry will get the first crack at the title.

However, the more shocking thing is that John Cena was nowhere to be seen tonight. With there being reports that the WWE was selling shirts that say "Cena Sucks" during their house shows this weekend, one has to wonder if a heel turn is soon to come for John as he gets prepared to fight the Rock in a few months.

Overall Thoughts
Do people really spend $50 on these shows and then hang out on Twitter and social media sites? I know that I have to spend my time on a computer during these shows as a part of my job but I can't figure out why anyone else would want to do that. Maybe it's a generational thing that I just don't understand.

As far as the event itself goes, I liked it in spite of the horrible commentary and twitter references. Thankfully, as the show went on, the Twitter nonsense slowed down a lot. The show got off to a great start with the US Championship Match and ended the same way. There were enough good matches and big moments during this event to make me glad that I ordered this show.
