TNA Final Resolution 2012 PPV Predictions

By December 5, 2012

Follow me on:

On Sunday night, TNA Wrestling presents their final pay-per-view event of 2012, Final Resolution. To get you excited for Sunday's show, TNA is offering last year's show for free on both TNA On Demand and on YouTube.com. Last year's show featured Bobby Roode defend the World Heavyweight Championship against AJ Styles in a 30-minute Iron Man Match. This year, Bobby Roode finds himself in the main event again. Only this time, he is challenging for the title, which is currently held by Jeff Hardy.

Knockouts Championship: Champion Tara vs. Mickie James - This may seem hard to believe but Mickie James, who is arguably the most famous Knockout in the company, has not wrestled on pay-per view since January. It just seems that while she is the number one contender for the title that Tara's real storyline is with ODB because of Tara's relationship with Jesse Godderz. Speaking of Jesse, I think that his interference will be the difference in this one. I think this may all lead to something in the Knockouts Tag Team Division as ODB and Eric Young are still recognized as the champions despite not defending the title in months and the possibility that EY is done with the company. If Eric Young decides to not resign with the company, I'm predicting that ODB and Mickie will team up against Tara and Jesse to crown new champions at Genesis next month. Predicted Winner: Tara

AJ Styles vs. Daniels - This match is being billed as their final match against one another. However, I won't believe that until we actually go a few months without seeing them fight one another. Too many times has the company promised something as a stipulation for one of their pay-per-view matches only to overrule that decision four nights later. I'm also curious to see how this stipulation will play out when it comes time for the Bound for Glory Series next summer. As far as this match goes, I see Christopher Daniels getting the win here thanks to Frankie Kazarian. That will lead AJ further down the dark path of despair he is currently traveling as he will have no way of getting the final win in a feud where his two former friends set out to humiliate him. Predicted Winner: Christopher Daniels

TNA Tag Team Championship: Champion Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez vs. Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan - I'm very curious to see where TNA goes with this new version of Matt Morgan. If Chavo and Hernandez win, I just don't see any big storylines coming down the pike for them or the division. However, Matt Morgan holding both a title belt and Hulk Hogan's ring robe gives him some juice while a title belt in the hands of Joey Ryan furthers his issues against company as well. Predicted Winners: Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan

Austin Aries vs. Bully Ray - I'm not entirely sure if this match will be taking place or not. It was briefly posted on TNA's website after Thursday night's show but is no longer listed on the site. I'm assuming that the two men will be fighting one another on Sunday night but a stipulation will probably be added to the match tomorrow night. Because Brooke Hogan is involved, I don't see this situation ending after only one match. Since Bully Ray is representing a Hogan, he won't be losing round one of this feud. Predicted Winner: Bully Ray

TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Champion Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Roode - The big question heading into this match is Jeff Hardy's contract status. His contract is due to expire in January and one has to wonder if WWE will now have some interest in rehiring him now that Linda McMahon is out of politics. While Jeff's demons have caused issues for both companies in the past, he sells enough merchandise that the risk is worth the reward for both TNA and WWE. Due to his uncertain contract status, I'm picking Bobby Roode to win the title here. If Jeff resigns with the company then I see him regaining the belt at Genesis next month. Predicted Winner: Bobby Roode

I don’t know whats going on Mr. C, I am clueless in TNA current stuff cuz I have not been watching. I can catch it on demand but when I did that two months ago, I watched like 4 weeks worth and I could swear it was the same show each time. It didn’t really appeal to me and so I havent watched it since…(October) so, hopefully its a decent show for those that buy it.
