TNA Bound for Glory 2012 PPV Predictions

By October 11, 2012

Follow me on:

On Sunday night, TNA Wrestling presents their biggest event of the year, Bound for Glory 2012. The event is so big that it will be telecast at over 100 theaters across America. Fans that attend a theatrical showing of the event can also get a free t-shirt from the company. Click here for more details about this offer and the locations of the theaters showing the event.

Prior to the start of the show, Spike TV will be airing Countdown to Bound for Glory. In addition to showing highlights of the events leading to this show, the broadcast will also feature footage from Sting's induction ceremony into the TNA Hall of Fame which will be taking place on Saturday night. That special will be broadcast from 7:00 - 8:00 PM EDT on Sunday night.

Al Snow vs. Joey Ryan - It's nice to finally see someone that was involved in the TNA Gut Check actually wrestle in a match after their tryout. Ironically, the first Gut Check competitor to compete on pay-per-view also happens to be the first competitor to fail the competition. If Joey loses this match then this angle ends. However a victory by Joey Ryan will allow him to say how he has been robbed by not being allowed to compete for the company despite having a pay-per-view victory on his resume. If Taz still had one more match left in him, I'd predict that this situation would end with Joey Ryan tapping out to the Tazmission. However, I can't see Taz jumping back into the ring for this feud. Therefore, my guess is that this is going to be the last we see of Joey Ryan in TNA. Predicted Winner: Al Snow

Television Championship: Champion Samoa Joe vs. Magnus - It's nice to see that the Television title has come back from the dead. I'm also glad to see a renewed push for Samoa Joe and a decent run with the title could be the push Joe needs to finally get back to the top of the card. Predicted Winner: Samoa Joe

Falls Count Anywhere Street Fight Featuring King Mo as the Special Guest Referee: James Storm vs. Bobby Roode - After watching King Mo's debut last week, my gut feeling was that King Mo was going to screw James Storm and then finally make his pro wrestling debut as a heel in a match against James Storm. However, there is no doubt in my mind that this show is going to end with some type of screwy finish and because of that, this match won't. I'm pick James Storm to get the win via a controversial decision by King Mo which will lead to King Mo making his debut against Bobby Roode and having James Storm in his corner. Predicted Winner: James Storm

TNA Knockouts Championship: Champion Miss Tessmacher vs. Tara - Over the past few months, the Knockouts Division has been depleted of quite a bit of its talent. Since the champion has already won her feuds with Gail Kim and Madison Rayne, if she gets the win here there are no more heels for her to fight on the roster. A victory by Tara leads to more interesting storylines and more challengers. Maybe we'll even get to find out who she has been talking to on her iPhone for the past few weeks. Predicted Winner: Tara

TNA Tag Team Championship: Champions Christopher Daniels & Kazarian vs. AJ Styles & Kurt Angle vs. Hernandez & Chavo Guerrero - I'm picking against AJ and Kurt because I can see them being the main defenders of TNA once the Aces & Eights are officially allowed to wreck havoc on the company. As far as Chavo and Hernandez go, I still see them as a viable tag team after this match. Since they already lost once to the champions, it would make sense for them to get the win here by pinning AJ or Kurt. Then that will lead to the World Tag Team Champions of the World complaining that they are still the better team because they were never actually pinned when they lost the titles. Predicted Winners: Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez

TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Champion Austin Aries vs. Jeff Hardy - One of the things Bound for Glory is known for is the start of faction warfare. The 2008 show led to the formation of the Main Event Mafia while two years later, Immortal was formed. This year, will be the year Aces & Eights are revealed. In both of those prior events, the new faction walked out of this event with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. I do think that this year will be different. One of the failures of both of those previous angles was that neither group had a serious rival once they were formed. Both groups ran roughshod over TNA until they eventually fell apart from within. Hopefully, the company has learned from those two mistakes and will have some serious competition for Aces & Eights. A group consisting of these two men should be good enough to keep the next few months interesting. As far as this match goes, I'm picking Austin Aries here as a way to solidify him as a true main event star in the company. Predicted Winner: Austin Aries

Two members of Aces & Eights vs. Sting & Bully Ray - If Aces & Eights lose then the must never be involved with TNA again. However, a win here will allow them access to the iMPACT! Zone. There is no doubt in my mind that Aces & Eight s will get the win here. The fun is trying to figure out how that victory will happen. The most obvious scenario is that Bully Ray will turn on Sting. There are a few things that make this so obvious. One is that there is some sort of rule that all of Sting's partners must eventually turn on him. Add in the fact that Bully Ray is a bully and that he has worn a biker patch inspired jacket in the past and it just too obvious that he will be the man behind Aces & Eights. Because it is so obvious, I'm going against that scenario. It is also obvious that someone at the top of the company is allowing Aces & Eights access to the iMPACT! Zone. My guess is that it is Bruce Pritchard that has been opening up the doors for the group. I think that the company has foreshadowed the ending to this bout by the footage they showed of Matt Morgan storming a recent live event. I think he will do so again here and that will lead to the group winning. In a few weeks, it will be revealed that Bruce Pritchard has been working against his company all along. A little further down the road, it will be revealed that he has been working for either Jeff Jarrett or Eric Bischoff. Predicted Winner: Aces & Eights

It looked like Bully Ray to me in one of the video segments. They showed him from the back with a hat on. I think the ears was a give a way. Though they changed his voice the pattern of speach was like Bully’s. Now. The other guy that was sitting and talking at the table with a mask on was clearly D Lo Brown based on the way his head was shape.

I don’t think that Austin Aries is getting over as champion. They need to put the belt on someone else. James Storm would have been a better and more popular champion.

after watching the sit down it is easy to see who the leader of aces & eights is even though they changed his voice you can tell it was Eric Bischoff’s voice

The leader of Aces And Eights said something that Eric Bischoff usually says so I’m leaning toward him over Jeff Jarrett as the leader of Aces And Eights. I don’t think Zema Ion vs Rob Van Dam is for the X Division Title.

After my original post was published, RVD vs. Zema Ion was added to the show. It appears that the title will be on the line despite RVD weighing more than the limit of the division. Even though he will be outweighed, I’m picking Zema Ion to retain the title.
