Christy Hemme Injured

Saturday January 10, 2009
TNA announced that Christy Hemme suffered a neck injury while training for her title match against Awesome Kong that was scheduled to take place tomorrow night at their Genesis PPV event. Christy Hemme will need surgery for the injury and will be out of action for an undetermined amount of time. A replacement for her in the title match will be announced at the show tomorrow night.

Best wishes go out to Christy for a speedy and complete recovery. I'd also like to give kudos to TNA for announcing this prior to the event. In the past, I have been harsh on the company for not announcing injuries that they knew about until after the fans have paid their money for the show.

Very cool feature about Christy Hemme—and thanks for the heads-up that there is a change in the PPV line-up.

I honestly think a lot (and often most) of the best pro wrestling is coming outside of WWE.

Keep up the great work!

It may come from out of WWE, but certainly not from TNA xD

Hold on now Tolcat. A couple weeks ago Eric told us that Maryse had been injured, and you actually complained about it. You whined and moaned that the Divas Championship is not a real title and that Maryse’s injury wasn’t worthy of being news. Showing a dissgraceful lack of concern for the woman’s injury as if you were talking about some cartoon character and not an actual person.

But now that a TNA wrestler is injured (one that actually has LESS of an impact on her respective program that Maryse), you feel that is a good story.

You constantly acuss Eric and this site of being bias, but with every post you make it becomes increasingly obvious that the one being bias is not Eric, it’s YOU.

For the record, I feel ANY wrestler- be they a main eventer or just a curten jerker- getting injured is worthy of making wrestling news. I wish Christy the best and hope she gets well soon.
