New World Tag Team Champions

On Saturday night at a house show in Hamilton, Ontario, the team of John Morrison and The Miz won the World Tag Team Championship from CM Punk and Kofi Kingston. With this win, Miz and Morrison have become the third team to hold both the WWE and World Tag Team Championships. The Dudleys were the first and the team of Paul London and Brian Kendrick were the second.

As far as tonight's PPV goes, the new tag team champions are not scheduled to compete at Armageddon. CM Punk is scheduled to fight Rey Mysterio in a match where the winner gets an Intercontinental Championship title shot while Kofi was scheduled to have the night off.
