Hogan Knows The Law
It's been just a little more than a month since I last wrote about Hulk's problems and it has been a busy time for his lawyers. Even though his show, Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling will be ending this weekend, some issues with Vince McMahon over a possible trademark infringement may just be starting. Speaking of trademarks and Celebrity Championship Wrestling, Hulk has sold the rights to the name Hulk Hogan to someone on that show. To cap off Hulk's legal hat trick, Linda's budding seaman filed paperwork against the Hulkster.
Vince McMahon vs Brutus Beefcake
A legal battle royal is starting over the use of the name Brutus Beefcake on Celebrity Championship Wrestling. The WWE claims ownership of the name while the producers of the show claim that the WWE has abandoned the copyright. TMZ.com has posted the legal documents from the WWE, the rebuttal from CCW, and an old WWE contract signed by Brutus and Linda McMahon. Eric Bischoff has posted an interesting blog on his site about this incident involving the show as well as the WWE threatening anyone involved with the show that they would be banned from ever working for the WWE again.
Hulk Hogan Transfers Hulkamania to Eric Bischoff
According to papers filed by Linda Hogan, Hulk has transferred the rights to his Hulk-related brands to Eric Bischoff. She claims that these transfers were at a discount as a way to siphon off marital assets and has asked the courts to reverse these deals. Hulk's lawyers told TMZ that "There has been no siphoning of money."
Whatcha Gonna Do When Hulkamania Runs Wild on You?
If you're Charley Hill, you run to the court and ask for a restraining order. Fearing that Hulk was going to go OJ on him for being with his wife and using all of his toys, Charley asked for and was denied a restraining order. If only Hulk would have paid for Charley's nautical schooling then Charley wouldn't have the time to be bothering the courts.
