No Mercy 2008 DVD Review

A few weeks ago, WWE Home Video released No Mercy 2008 on DVD. This show featured Chris Jericho defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Shawn Michaels in a Ladder Match and Triple H defend the WWE Championship against Jeff Hardy.

What I Said Then: This was a really good show with two great matches to close it out.

Has My Opinion Changed? No. I really loved the Ladder Match and it will be in contention for my Match of the Year Award which will be announced in a few weeks.

Overall Recommendation: Even though it has been only a few weeks since this event took place, the entire main event landscape of the WWE has changed. The World Heavyweight Championship has changed hands three times and while the situation between Triple H and Jeff Hardy hasn't been resolved yet, both men are now challenging Edge for the title. While this show didn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, the event itself was an entertaining way to spend a few hours and the Ladder Match makes this DVD worth at least renting.
