Jeff Hardy Found Unconscious
According to wwe.com, Jeff Hardy was found unconscious in a stairwell at his hotel in Boston earlier today. I will update this blog post as more information becomes available.As most fans know, Jeff has had a history of drug abuse that cost him his job with the WWE several years ago. Since coming back to the WWE a little more than two years ago, Jeff has gotten two strikes in their Wellness Policy. I'm not going to speculate what has caused Jeff to need medical care and wish him the best in his recovery.
Jeff was scheduled to take part in one of the main events at the Survivor Series later tonight in Boston. He was supposed to take on WWE Champion Triple H and Vladimir Kozlov in a triple threat match for the title. I will be covering that event live on the site tonight.
Update 1 - 1:00 PM
The mainstream media has picked up on this story and it is currently the second story on the top news section of aol.com. Even though this story is getting some mainstream coverage, according to the Wrestling Observer, PWInsider.com, and Prowrestling.net, it appears likely that the story is a work and will play into a storyline for tonight's show.
If this was a publicity stunt for the event, I have two problems with it. One, it is very sleazy to do something like this given Jeff's past and all the wrestler's that have passed away over the years. Putting Jeff's fans through something like this is just wrong. Secondly, from a business perspective I have to wonder if this move doesn't backfire. Taking Jeff out of one of the main events might make people less likely to buy this show. Who really wants to pay to see a semi-main event match featuring Vladimir Kozlov vs. Triple H?
Update 2 - 3:00 PM
WWE has updated their site and have stated that Jeff has been released from the hospital. The site states that WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis, has been in contact with Jeff and he is investigating the incident. WWE.com then goes on to say that it is questionable whether Jeff will perform tonight. At this point in time, I am confident in stating that this whole situation has been a work.

Hardy vs HHH vs Koslov is not the main event match for Survivor Series — not even close. And despite what WWE says, there can’t be four main event matches per PPV. Jeff Hardy is lame. No one cares whether he’s wrestling or not.

I have to disagree with you on two points. The WWE Title match is the SD main event and for the most prestigious title in the business. As far as no one caring that Hardy won’t be wrestling, less than 10% of the fans voted not to see him as part of the title match at Cyber Sunday.

Edge replaced Hardy in the main event tonight and won the championship. I guarantee that Copeland(Edge) will come forward on the next live show, likely Smackdown since that is where the championship derives, and admit to “assaulting” Hardy in the hotel so that he(Edge) could take his place in the main event.
Update. Edge was entered late into the contest between Triple H and Koslov by Vicky Guerrero. Hardy ran down to the ring with a steal chair and attacked Triple H and Koslov, allowing Edge to pin Triple H for the win. Given Hardy has been looking for Vicky Guerrero’s approval over the last couple of weeks, I’m thinking now that Hardy is working for Edge and Vicky and the entire “unconcicous” angle was a work by the three to regain the title for Edge.
i stongly disagree with andy saying jeff is lame.
Hardy didn’t come down with a steal chair. He moved people out of his way to get it. As far as I think Edge doesn’t deserve that title. That title was to be Hardy’s and not his. I think it was a stupid move on Vicky Guerrero’s behalf to even put Egde in a match like that when Jeff deserved it out of anyone in that ring tonight.

Hardy wasn’t “in the hospital”, he was at the arena last night, and helped Edge win the title. Conveniently , Edge was “on hand” to take his place.
It is pathetic that the WWE stoops to such levels as faking injuries (even near death injuries) and reporting them as “news”. I guess the one true test here was that this didn’t run on any ‘credible’ news sources, just the WWE homepage, which is (obviously) going to tell you whatever they want you to hear
Thank you eric for thinking like me. This whole story line is a bunch of bs. Jeff has worked so hard over the past year to get the title, and I think he deserves it because he’s been working his butt off over the past 10 years. Edge is just a weasel who can’t win a match by rights he just snakes in and takes what isn’t his. WWE really needs to think what the fans are gonna like and we really don’t like this! And P.S. Jeff Hardy so DOES NOT SUCK!
As Jeff Hardy’s #1 fan I have to say anyone who speaks badly of Jeff obviously has no idea what kind of person he really is.. He is the most amazing and artistic superstar wwe has today.
Jeff hardy did deserve the win and i can garentee that he will get it next ppv. People on here seem to mock the storyline wwe went with, i think it was smart, noone expected it and when hardy finally wins the belt it will be so much better seeing him beat the s%#t out of edge! Triple H should have won that fight!!! I think Triple H might win back the title then it will be hardy vs HHH for the title! Plus its obvious that it was faked, if hardy couldnt have been in the fight thats why edge was in it how did he manage to come out in his ‘uniform’ a minute after edge did? Still, i wish edge would go back to hell!
jeff hardy is the best ever. He will win the title evenually. Hardy is the real deal and will be the champ before the royal rumble.
To Andy, Lame? Regardless of personal opinions of Jeff. He has great support from fans giving WWE profit. It is entertainment and still is Industry. Lame is is not the word for it. Jeff is productive with his busniness and passionate with his career.
Aww man, seeing Edge win the title really boils my blood! It almost looked like jeff helped Edge win when he hit HHH with that chair, but after I watched the match again I could see that Jeff tried to hit Edge with it. But, he ducked, and HHH just happened to be in the wrong place. *sigh*
I have a few corrections from these comments.
1. Jeff Hardy rules.
2. The match was the SD main event.
3. He ran down to the ring, then grabbed a steel chair. (I was there I watched him do it.)
4. It is a stoyline, leading to a Edge/Jeff Hardy rivalry, they with have a match in the next PPV.

To Lucy and Cassie: Does it matter whether he brought the chair with him or picked it out from the hundreds on the floor? Whether it was WWE property or he drove to Home Depot and purchased it on the way to the arena that day, it doesn’t change the action he performed with it. Not being fresh, but it’s not like he would’ve acted different it the chair belonged to him, i.e. “Oh snap, I can’t use this chair, this is my chair! I’ll have to get a different one” or if it was the WWE’s property, i.e. “I hope they don’t take it out of my pay if I dent this chair” Regardless who it belonged to or where he got it, he still hit people with that chair.
