Unforgiven 2008 DVD Review
A few weeks ago, WWE Home Video released Unforgiven 2008 on DVD. This show featured the WWE Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship, and the ECW Championship all up for grabs in three separate Scramble Matches. What I Said Then: I had stated a few days ago that if not for this job, I probably wouldn’t have ordered this show. I’m glad that I have this job because this show was fun. I wasn’t a fan of the scramble matches but I was a fan of the twists and turns that happened tonight. Michaels and Jericho have had three very different but equally entertaining PPV matches over the past few months and the ending of the last few segments of this show were very exciting and kept me guessing.
Has My Opinion Changed?: Slightly. The most memorable part of this show was trying to guess what was going to happen once CM Punk got injured. At the time, this made the event special and led to a surprise conclusion. Since almost everyone reading this knows how the event ended, without the surprise element the show loses something in the transfer from live event to DVD.
Overall Recommendation: At a minimum, if you haven't seen this event you should at least rent this DVD. It is a fun show and an entertaining way to spend a few hours. However, it is not a must-buy event. If you would like to purchase this DVD, click here to find the lowest price.
