Chris Jericho Regains the World Heavyweight Championship
Things looked bleak for Jericho when Batista had him set up for a Batista Bomb on the top rope. However, Chris was able to snap off a piece of metal that connected the cables to the cage. He smashed Batista in the head with this piece of metal and then climbed out of the cage to win the championship. Since there are no disqualifications in a Steel Cage Match, hitting Batista with the metal object was a legal maneuver.
As amazing as this may seem, in the 40+ year history of the WWE, this is the first time that either the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship has ever changed hands in a Steel Cage Match. This is just another of the firsts that Chris Jericho, the first Unified World Champion, can add to his resume.

I can’t believe it!!!!! Well ,I guess Jericho won fair and square but Batista will regain it back.
Eric, a question about last night’s Raw – is Goldust definitely back on WWE? If so, is he going to wrestle or is it a WWE Legend kind of contract?
The King of the World, Chris Jericho, once again takes the throne!
I’m not sure of the status of Goldust. He is not listed as a Superstar on wwe.com.
