Major Changes to the WWE Television Schedule
This week will be marked by several changes to the WWE Television schedule. The minor change sees ECW on Sci Fi moving an hour earlier. The show will now start at 9:00 ET. The big move sees Friday Night SmackDown move from the CW Network to MyNetwork TV.
Thursday Night on MyNetwork TV
To celebrate this move, MyNetwork TV is giving WWE fans a giant 1-2 punch to kick off the move. On Thursday night, the network will feature two hours of WWE programming. From 8:00 - 9:00, they will be broadcasting WrestleMania XXIV - The World Television Premiere. This show will highlight the action from WrestleMania XXIV in a format that will feature the action being scored to the music of U2, Metallica, Three Doors Down, and Kid Rock. Following that, WWE Divas Eve and Maria will be featured on Magic's Biggest Secret Revealed.
Friday Night on MyNetwork TV
Friday night marks the premiere edition of Friday Night SmackDown on My Network TV. That show will feature several non-title champion vs. champion matches highlighted by WWE Champion Triple H vs. World Champion Chris Jericho vs. ECW Champion Matt Hardy. Other champion vs. champion matches will see the US Champion Shelton Benjamin vs Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella, WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito and Primo Colon vs. World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, and Divas Champion Michelle McCool vs. Women's Champion Beth Phoenix.
Information About MyNetwork TV
For many viewers, MyNetwork TV is the former UPN or WB Network affiliate that didn't get converted to a CW affiliate. To see where to tune in to find your local MyNetwork TV affiliate, click here. Also, make sure to check your local listings to see if these shows will be pre-empted for any reason. In particular, coverage of the Vice Presidential debate on Thursday night will have an impact on this schedule for some viewers.
