Is this the end of the Signature Pharmacy Scandal?

Saturday September 13, 2008
Earlier this week, a judge dismissed the indictments against the alleged masterminds behind the Signature Pharmacy scandal. The charges were dismissed not due to the guilt or innocence of the defendants but because of how badly the prosecutors mangled the case. The judge determined that, in their dealings with the grand jury, the prosecutors "have impaired the integrity of the grand jury proceedings to such a degree that a dismissal is warranted". Due to this ruling, the Albany County DA can no longer press charges against the defendants.

Last year, the media released the names of several wrestlers that allegedly purchased items from this pharmacy. That led to the WWE suspending 10 wrestlers for violating their Wellness Policy. Even though the defendants got off without penalty, the wrestlers will still have that strike against them in this three-strike policy and they are still without the pay they lost as part of their suspensions.
