Hogan Family Drama

Wednesday May 28, 2008
Hulk Hogan and his family are currently getting more press than they got even at the height of Hulkamania. Between Nick's jail conversation tapes and some creepy photos of Hulk and his daughter, the Hogan family has now moved into the realm of gossip mainstays Britney, Paris and Lindsay.

Nick's Jailhouse Tapes
TMZ.com has been posting the recorded prison conversations between Nick and his family. These tapes make the Hogan family look very bad. Between Nick's whining, the family blaming John Graziano's (the victim of Nick's bad driving) karma for catching up to him, the trashing of the Graziano family, and their plans to make a reality TV show based off of this mess, the Hogan clan looks very bad. This is a side of the family that was not shown on the scripted "reality" show Hogan Knows Best. As someone who grew up as a Hulkamaniac, I am bitterly disappointed by the actions of the family and their unwillingness to accept any blame for their actions.

The Media Jackals "Report" On Another Wrestling Story
The summer months must be dry season for the media because once again the Nancy Grace's of this world are dedicating their programming to another wrestling-related situation. I am amused by these people when they say it is disgusting how the Hogan's plan to make money off of this tragedy yet Nancy Grace's show is all about exploiting someone else's misfortunes. I was watching her show last night and had to laugh when a caller was shown total disrespect for asking if John is in any way culpable for the medical condition he is in. Instead of using this valid question to serve the public and maybe use this opportunity to warn people about being a passenger in a car driven by a drunk driver, Nancy and John's attorney instead were seemingly mad that this question had been asked. As horrible as it may seem to state, it probably wasn't a wise idea for John to enter the car of someone that had been drinking and had a history of drag racing. I'm also curious if John tried to stop Nick from drag racing or if he was egging him on. If anyone reading this article finds themselves in the situation John was in, I beg of you to not enter the car of someone that is driving drunk. While Nancy Grace and her brand of journalism dropped the ball again when it comes to covering a wrestling-related story, at least this time she didn't plagiarize from this site.

Hulk and Brooke's Bizarre Photos
There were recently some pictures posted on TMZ.com that featured Hulk rubbing oil on his daughter's backside. This photo is very creepy. To add to the overall bizarreness of this situation, the Ultimate Warrior has stepped out of his realm of preaching the virtues of destrucity and made an interesting video about Hulk oiling up the buttocks of the wrong child. In a slightly related story, the Ultimate Warrior is set to return to the ring on June 25 in Spain for a battle against Orlando Jordan. Here is a video of the events that led to that situation.

Hulk and Linda's Divorce
Hulk and Linda have been seen in public with younger versions of their former partner. Hulk's girlfriend looks similar enough to Brooke to add an extra level of creepiness to the previously mentioned photos. Linda has also been photographed in the company of a younger man that bears some resemblance to her ex. Since Linda is on the prowl for a new man, her state of dress as she has visited her son has been addressed. I agree with the critics of her and think she looks like more like a prisoner being booked on "solicitation" charges than a concerned mother visiting her son.

Brooke Hogan in Automobile Accident
In a strange twist of fate, Brooke was involved in an automobile accident over the weekend. Ironically, her car was hit by a speeding car that lost control. Thankfully there were no major injuries. Unlike her brother and John, Brooke was smart enough to use her seat belt. Not to harp on Nick and his friend but if you are reading this please remember that using your seatbelt is not only the law, it is also common sense.

What Does This All Mean?
If Hogan knows best then we are all in trouble. In all seriousness, I can't believe all the problems going on in the Hogan household right now. Having watched their show, I thought that Hulk and Linda were reasonably stable parents when compared to other reality TV families like the Osbourne's. If you would have bet me which kids would have been more messed up I would have placed my money on Ozzy's kids. However, Jack Osbourne was deputized and was shown fighting for the law on Armed and Famous while Hulk's son is currently in jail.

I guess when it rains, it pours. Divorce…automobile accident…jail…baldness. I joke, but this isn’t a laughing matter. It’s indicative of our “ME! ME! ME! ME! ME!” mentality. The Hogan family exemplifies the worst kind of behavior in our deteriorating culture. From the way Nick drives and how Linda dresses to the family’s total lack of regard for the Graziano family, it’s no wonder the rest of the world hates us!

Itīs all about the money and how parents have acted in different situations in their childs early years. In Hogan family there must be somekind of belief that “Daddy can pay us out from anything”…well luckily the lawsystem works and people have to pay (in this situation doing time in prison) for their lawbreaking. The karmas law has finally reached Hogan family!
