Backlash 2008 DVD Review

On Tuesday, WWE Home Video will release Backlash 2008 on DVD. This show is highlighted by a fatal four way battle for the WWE Championship between Randy Orton, Triple H, John Cena, and JBL. The other main event features a WrestleMania XXIV rematch between the Undertaker and Edge.

What I Said Then: Without a doubt, this was the worst WWE PPV event so far this year. If you didn’t see this show, I’d hold off on ordering the replay.

Has My Opinion Changed? No.

Overall Recommendation: This was the first of three PPV events over the course of five weeks. Including WrestleMania XXIV, as of Sunday night there will have been four straight PPV events featuring Edge vs. the Undertaker and some form of Randy Orton vs. Triple H. While the show isn’t horrible, it is easily forgettable. The show was not worth the $40 PPV price but it may be worth the price of the DVD. If you buy the DVD you won’t regret it and if you pass on this one you won’t regret that decision either. If you would like to buy the DVD, click here to find the lowest price.
