Who is Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

Monday February 18, 2008
Due to the events of last night, the wrestling world is abuzz over the actions of Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, there are many wrestling fans that never heard of his name until last night.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the current WBC Welterweight Champion. The undefeated champion boasts an impressive record of 39-0. He was also recently named the winner of the Fighter of the Year Award by The Ring Magazine.

In 2007, Mayweather became a household name for both his in-ring and extracurricular activities. Outside the ring, he was a contestant on the ABC show Dancing With the Stars. Inside the ring, he beat Oscar De La Hoya in what many media pundits claimed was the fight that saved boxing. That match broke the records for the most PPV purchases and the most PPV revenue generated for a boxing match.

(1) Rashad says:

He is your worst nightmare in the boxing ring but he should stay the heck out of the WWE ring because Vince does not even know how to use him right. Since when has Floyd ever been a fan favorite? Especially after his interviews before fights with Oscar and Ricky Hatton? His posse being there with him does not help matters at all. The WWE creative team must smoke crack together during meetings.
