Two Wrestlers Suspended for Wellness Policy Violations

Friday November 2, 2007
On Friday, it was announced that two wrestlers were suspended for violating the WWE Wellness Policy. Due to a change in the Wellness Policy, all names are being made public.

Chris Masters
This is "The Masterpiece's" (real name Chris Mordetzky) second violation of the policy. As a result, the SmackDown star will be suspended for 60 days. I'm very confused about this because I thought this was his third suspension. Last year, he was off TV for awhile and came back notably smaller. His new size even led D-Generation X to joke that he should write a weight loss book. He also was off TV in September after he was linked to the Signature Pharmacy scandal. At least with the names now being made public, confusing situations like this should be avoided in the future.

DH Smith
This is the first violation for Harry Smith. He has only been a part of the RAW roster for less than a month. As a result, he will be suspended for 30 days. Pathetically, he is looking to keep his family tradition alive. For those that don't know, he is the son of the late Davey Boy Smith (a.k.a. The British Bulldog), a legendary wrestler that died as a result of his history of steroid and drug abuse.

DH & Masters are suspended because they failed their drug tests. No one else has been suspended because they passed their tests.

This is Master’s 2nd violation. When he was off TV last year and came back noticably smaller this was because he requested time off to deal with personal issues, not because he failed a test.
