Nick Hogan Update

Tuesday August 28, 2007
There is some good news, some bad news, and some disturbing news to have come out in the Nick Hogan incident. The good news is that Nick was released from the hospital on Monday. The bad news is that his friend, , is still battling for his life. On Monday night, Linda Hogan gave the following statement to the media about the situation:
"My son Nick and a friend were involved in a car accident last night. Nick suffered minor injuries and has been treated and released from the hospital. At this time, his friend, John Graziano remains hospitalized.

Nick is currently at the hospital with John and his family. His sole concern is for the well being of his friend. On behalf of my family, we ask that your thoughts and prayers be with John and his loved ones."

According to E! Online, Tampa Bay News 10 has interviewed eye witnesses to the accident that are claiming that Nick was racing a silver Dodge Viper when he crashed. As if that news wasn't disturbing enough, TMZ.com published Nick's driving record. In less than a year, this is fourth time has been involved in a speeding issue. On two occasions, Nick was busted after going over 100 MPH.

As seems to be the case recently with young Hollywood, Nick only got a slap on the wrist for his infractions. He has only received four points on his driving license. It appears that being famous in America gives you the right to put innocent lives at risk. As horrible as it is that his friend is in critical condition, at least Nick hit into a tree and not a car that was carrying a family.
