Brian Adams 1964 - 2007

Monday August 13, 2007
I am saddened to report that Brian Adams, also known to wrestling fans as Crush, passed away on Monday morning. He was found lying in bed not breathing by his wife. According to Tampa police, there will be a preliminary autopsy on Tuesday morning.

Brian gained national fame in 1990 when he was placed into the role of Demolition Crush. At the time, Demolition was already into their third reign as tag team champions. After the team broke up, he became known as Kona Crush and played up his Hawaiian heritage. His biggest feud during this era was against Doink the Clown. After suffering injuries at the hand of Yokozuna, he turned against his friend Randy Savage because he felt that Randy should have helped him. At WrestleMania X, Randy beat Crush in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.

In 1994, he left the WWE after he was arrested for possession of steroids and a stun gun. He returned in 1996 and joined the Nation of Domination. When the original group split up, the WWE had a gang war start along racial lines. Crush was the leader of the biker group known as the Disciples of the Apocalypse.

In 1998, he entered World Championship Wrestling and wrestled under his birth name of Brian Adams. Upon entering WCW, he immediately joined the New World Order. In 1999, KISS got involved with WCW and debuted a wrestler that looked like Gene Simmons called the Demon. Brian played the part the night of the debut of the Demon but that was also the final time he played the part. Brian was then put into a tag team with Bryan Clarke (Adam Bomb) that was known as Kronik. That team won the WCW Tag Team Championship on two occasions.

After WCW was purchased by the WWE in 2001, Kronik appeared in one PPV match for the WWE that was so bad that both members of the team were released from the WWE soon afterwards. He found some fame in Japan but decided to try his hand at boxing. He had to cancel his first match due to injury. He returned to the Japanese rings in 2003 but sadly suffered a career-ending spine injury. Since retiring, his only time in the spotlight was as a bodyguard for wrestler-turned-rapper Randy Savage.

Patty, why are you jumping to conclusions? How do you know steroids were involved and how do you even know if Brian Adams took steroids. You don’t. It’s not a good idea to assume. I will follow sheikh tian’s example and offer my condolences and sympathy to Brian’s family, his friends, and to the entire wrestling community. May his soul rest in peace.

No offense, but you got the facts wrong. Brian portrayed The Demon three times
-the debut
-challenging Vampiro
-fight with Sid Vicious

Hi Adrian,

No offense taken but I need verification on that before I make the change. I have included two links to sites that are usually accurate in these types of reports that agree with me.
