Pat Patterson in Critical Condition, Ashley Injured, & ECW on Sci-Fi Main Event Announced

- WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson is in critical but stable condition. On Sunday night, the 65 year old Patterson had emergency heart surgery to remove a cyst from his main artery. Highlights of Patterson’s WWE career include being the first Intercontinental champion and being the referee of the main event of the first WrestleMania. For two decades, Patterson has been one of the most important figures behind the scenes of the WWE and is credited for creating the Royal Rumble match.
- 2005 Diva Search Winner Ashley broke a knuckle on her right hand during her match against Kristal on Friday Night SmackDown!. She will not require any surgery but she will have to wear a cast for four weeks.
- The main event of ECW on Sci-Fi will be a number 1 contenders match for the ECW title featuring Sabu vs Kurt Angle.
