Wrestling Promoter Billy Firehawk Passes Away

Tuesday July 18, 2006
For the second time in less than 24 hours, I am saddened to have to report that the wrestling world has lost another member of its family. William J. Hawkins III (Billy Firehawk) died on Monday night from complications with diabetes. He was 40 years old and is survived by his wife Daisy Wei-Hawkins and his young daughter. He was the promoter of NWA Shockwave which was previously known as NWA Cyberspace.

I worked for Billy at NWA Shockwave and I can tell you that in the world of Pro Wrestling storylines abd reality has a very thin line. Billy was not only a gentleman but a professional who was the real deal. I will miss him as someone who not only I was associated with professionally but I will miss him as my friend. Rest in peace Billy.
