A Legend Passes Away, War Forces WWE to Cancel Tour, Larry Zbysko’s Hair, Brock Lesnar News, & Batista’s Opponent for The Great American Bash

- I am saddened to report that “Cowboy” Bob Orton Sr. has passed away. Slam Sports is reporting that he passed away on Sunday night while in the hospital from a heart attack. Bob was just days away from celebrating his 77th birthday. He began his career in the 1950’s and won many titles in the different territories he competed in. He is most famous to this generation of wrestling fans as being the father of WWE Hall of Famer Bob Orton Jr. and Barry O and the grandfather of Randy Orton. WWE.com has posted a very nice tribute which includes quotes from his grandson, the WWE Confdential segment that was done about the Orton family, and rare footage of him in action.

- The recent turmoil in the Middle East has forced the WWE to cancel their tour of Israel. The SmackDown! stars were supposed to wrestle in Tel Aviv on July 27,28, & 29.

- Larry Zbysko may have lost his hair last night but he has a plan to get it back and make a few dollars in the process. He is now a spokesman for Medical Hair Restoration. He joins Chavo Guerrero Jr and Jimmy Hart as other wrestlers to endorse the system.

- Brock Lesnar has been stripped of his IWGP title due to “work visa problems”. Hiroshi Tanahashi won a tournament this weekend in Japan to win the vacant title.

- Batista has issued an open challenge to anyone that wants to fight him this Sunday at The Great American Bash. This will be his first televised one on one match since suffering an injury in January. He was scheduled to face Mark Henry but Mark suffered an injury on Saturday night during his match on Saturday Night’s Main Event.
