Johnny Parisi Released, TNA on iTunes, Kenta Kobashi Diagnosed With Cancer, Next Week's Main Events, & The Capital Legends Fanfest

- Johnny Parisi has been released from his WWE Contract.

- Episodes of TNA:iMPACT are available for sale on iTunes.

- Puroresupower.com is reporting that Japanese wrestling icon Kenta Kobashi will be undergoing medical treatment to remove a renal tumor (kidney cancer).

- Next Week’s Televised Main Events:

ECW: WWE & ECW Title Match: Champ Rob Van Dam vs Edge
TNA: Sting & Christian Cage vs Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner

- From 8/11-8/13 The Capital Legends Fanfest at The Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in Rockville, Maryland will be taking place. Wrestlers scheduled to appear include: Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Tony Atlas, Baby Doll, Jim Cornette, Stan Hansen, Dennis Condrey, Bobby Heenan, Ivan Koloff, Bobby Eaton, Rick Martel, Rocky Johnson, Stan Lane, Rockin' Robin, Nick Bockwinkle, Robert Gibson, Ernie Ladd, Ricky Morton, Angelo Mosca, Nikolai Volkoff, and The Masked Superstar. Over the next few weeks, I will be posting information about the careers of many of these wrestlers whose contributions to the sport can not be overstated.

RVD picks Kurt Angle, so Orton teams with Edge, and Cena teams with Ric Flair.
Edge and Orton win.

John Cena interferes and screws Edge back.

Batista beats Mark Henry
