Hogan Knows Best Season 2 Episode 13 Recap

Sunday June 25, 2006
On what is hopefully the season finale, Brooke films a music video. In the process, Hulk Hogan and his wife get on Brooke’s case about being too fat for her video. Other stage mom/dad highlights feature the choreographer ask them to leave the studio and the director of the video have to explain how makeup interacts with the camera. In non-video related scenes, Brooke has her 18th birthday party and Nick plans a surprise that upsets her dad but leaves Eric Bischoff laughing.

- The family is in Hollywood to film Brooke’s first music video. She has two weeks to prepare for the video shoot. Prior to meeting her choreographer, her parents seem to be making Brooke more nervous then she has to be. Her choreographer is named Hi Hat and she has done Mary J Blige and Eve videos. Hulk and Linda keep making bad comments to Brooke during her dancing and the choreographer nicely asks them to leave because of what they are doing to Brooke.

- The parents making a bad situation worse is a continuing theme for this episode. If Brooke ever becomes anorexic or bulimic, she can look back to this episode for the reason why. At the dinner table, Hulk gets on Brooke’s case for only ordering two instead of three egg whites and then they flip out when Brooke puts some salt on her eggs. Brooke tells her parents that they are knocking her down and it is making her nervous. Brooke leaves the table because her parents won’t stop.

- The next scene has Brooke working at Gold’s Gym. After hat, Hulk gets on her case and tells her that she is to only eat a few bites of food because this is crunch time. Back in the dance studio, Hulk does not like all the pelvic thrusts. He talks to the choreographer and some other guy involved in the video shoot. Hulk threatens the guy who wrote the treatment. He explains Hulk the image they are trying for and that she is now 18 years old and a young adult. Brooke gets very upset about Hulk terrifying the people she is working with.

- Brooke turns 18 and Nick hires a male stripper for the party. Unlike Nick’s party at a Chucky Cheese type place, Brooke’s party is at a night club. The stripper shows up and he dances for Brooke. Eric Bischoff is sitting next to Brooke while she is getting her lap dance. Hulk is very upset about the whole scenario and warns Nick that he had better not be involved with this.

- Brooke arrives to the video shoot and goes to make up. Linda does not like the way that Brooke’s eyes are done. She gets her eyes redone and the director is unhappy and has to explain to Linda why they did the eyes that way. This helped put the video shoot behind schedule. Once the shoot starts, Linda is vocally critical of her daughter’s dancing and the director rolls his eyes. She then wants one of the make up people to do something that would break the continuity of the shoot. Brooke is starting to get agitated by her moms comments.

- Paul Wall shows up and gives Brooke a diamond and gold grill. She films her part with Pall Wall and the owner of the record company loves it. He says that she is the only triple threat in the business that can sing, dance, and play keyboard. The family is happy with how everything turned out and her parents are very proud of her for making good choices. The show ends with Brooke wanting to have a cheeseburger.
