6/16 Friday Night SmackDown! Recap

Last week was a tough week for the world champion. Rey Mysterio was pinned by both Rob Van Dam and Finlay and had to be carried out of his match against Sabu. On tonight’s SmackDown!, Rey had to face cruiserweight champion Gregory Helms.

The main event this week featured U.S. Champion Lashley face King Booker. This non-title match was all about Lashley getting revenge for being forced to kiss The King’s feet two weeks ago. Revenge would not be easy for Lashley to get because The King hatched a royal plan.

Other action saw Mark Henry continue his path of destruction. This week he injured a retired wrestler. This show also featured The Mexicools take on The Great Kahli and the SmackDown! announcing debut of the recently retired JBL.
