Hogan Knows Best Season 2 Episode 9 Recap

Linda needs to lose some weight and instead of doing the training, prayers and vitamins like her husband preaches, she invites some gurus into the house. The gurus interrupt Hulk’s life by trying to change his diet, throwing sacred rice throughout his property, and then taking him for a colonic.
- Hulk and Linda both forget to put their underwear on this morning. When Linda goes looking for a pair, Hulk scares her with his Mr. America mask. He then chases her with the mask on and a pair of frilly pink underwear over the mask.
- Linda thinks that she is fat and needs to lose weight. She grabs all these weird books and Hulk tells her that all she needs is to train, say your prayers, and eat your vitamins. Linda decides to call a guru instead.
- Dr. Garko comes to the house. Hulk is not impressed with this guy, especially when the guy mentions that he is mostly self-taught. Without Hulk’s permission he throws out most of the food from the fridge. Linda and Brooke go with the Dr. to an organic supermarket. Nick finds the food in a garbage bag and Hulk puts the food back in the fridge. The doctor says that both Linda and Brooke both need to lose 30 pounds. Brooke thinks she needs to lose 150 pounds of guru.
- Dr. Garko then brings a chi expert to the Hogan house. She says that the family needs a chi adjustment and needs to feed the hungry ghosts of the house. She makes a giant bowl of rice and alcohol and throws it through the house while chanting. The lady goes wacko at one point and says that something bad happened at a certain spot of the property. Nick and Hulk go back in the house and lock themselves in a room to be away from the freak show. When he finds out that they are going to invade his gym, Hulk freaks out. The lady opens the door and says that the door is angry. Hulk then throws her out of his gym.
- Dr. Garko then tells the family that they need colonics. They go to the clinic and only Linda is willing to go through with it. Before Linda does it, Brooke pulls her mom out of the room and demands that the doctor do it to himself first so that the family knows that it is safe. While the doctor is getting the colonic, the family leaves and decides that they are done with the freak show.

Dr. Garko has pretended to be an expert on everything from speech making to jury selection to physical fitness but doesn’t have a clue. I was so glad that the Hogan family shared my opinion! He has been around for years promoting himself without appropriate credentials.
